We threw in the Love Actually DVD, thinking that the grandparents (and parents) would enjoy it. Somehow all of us who had seen the movie forgot the subplot about the couple meeting in the porn shoot, and the plethora of boobies in the scenes.
The next movie after that cringe-worthy experience was Garden State. I forget how great that movie is. In 2 hours it manages to capture so many emotions someone can feel when coming home. Meeting with friends from the past, confronting one’s parents, and the excitement of newfound love. Let’s not forget the ridiculously good soundtrack.

Nothing says Thanksgiving like watching Conan the Barbarian in Hi-Def in the morning. Or like some karaoke the night before to songs like All Night Long (by the great Lionel Richie) and Waiting For A Girl Like You (by Foreigner, duh).
Really though, this week has been great - since we aren’t going to be able to spend Christmas all together, Thanksgiving stepped up and offered the perfect opportunity for a large family gathering. Erin and Chris are here, and Becky and Jordan as well. Ian and Christina and Nolan drove up from San Diego for the entire weekend. Ashley’s grandparents make up the 13 (well, it should be 12.5 (.5 being Nolan), but who’s counting?).
No more time to type, Arnie’s been hoisted on The Tree Of Woe.
